Lingjie Guo, Ph.D., is a tenured professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan. His research areas cover organic electronics, micro-nano optics, nano-imprint-based nanofabrication technology, and nano-device design, fabrication, testing, and system integration. His research work has greatly promoted the development of nanotechnology and its applications in large-scale nanofabrication, photonic excitation and optical detection of ultrasonic waves, and organic optoelectronic devices.

At present, he has published more than 220 articles in academic journals such as Science, Nature Photonics, Nature Communication, Advanced Material and Physical Review Letters, and has been invited to participate in the writing of more than 10 book chapters. Authorized 10 US patents. On March 5th,2010 Prof. Lingjie Guo from the University of Michigan was invited to give a lecture on "Polymer Science Series" of Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and gave a lecture entitled "Towards Low-Cost, High Efficiency, and Scalable Organic Solar Cells with Transparent Metal Electrode and Improved Domain Morphology", and communicated with researchers.

In his report, Professor Guo Lingjie introduced his research group's research and recent progress in low-cost, high-efficiency organic solar cells, such as replacing ITO electrodes with transparent metal electrodes with nanostructures, increasing the light absorption of organic semiconductors with SPR, Control the distribution of PCBM and P3HT components in the interpenetrating network and low-cost 2R DNI processing technology.

Professor Guo Lingjie, graduated from Nankai University in 1990 with a bachelor's degree. In 1995 and 1997, he received his MS and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota, USA. From 1997 to 1999, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton University. He joined the University of Michigan in 1999 as an assistant professor, and is now an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Science, School of Engineering, University of Michigan. Research areas include polymer photonic devices, organic electronics and photonics, and nanoimprint technology and its applications.

Professor Guo Lingjie is one of the overseas members of the "International Partnership Program for Innovative Teams" - Organic Optoelectronic Materials and Applications of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs.
