In June 2019 Hubei Province Held Public Health Emergencies and Emergent Epidemic Network Monitoring and Maintenance Training Course in Wuhan

 


In order to further strengthen the information monitoring and report management of public health emergencies in the province, the Information Institute of the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention held the “2019 Provincial Public Health Emergencies in Wuhan” from 4-6 June 2019. Participants of "Network Monitoring and Maintenance Training Course"  included more than 120 key public health emergency monitoring services of the CDCs in various cities, prefectures, and counties across the province. The opening ceremony of the training course was presided over by Li Mingyan, director of the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Zhan Faxian, vice president of the Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention attended the opening ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Deputy Dean Zhan Faxian clarified the importance of this training course, and pointed out that the monitoring staff should have four clarifications and four improvements: first, clarify the learning situation, and focus on improving the awareness of innovative work; second, clarify learning goals, they must focus on improving the concept of work standards; third, clear learning tasks, they must focus on improving professional work skills; fourth, clear learning requirements, they must focus on improving actual work results. At the same time, two key tasks in the near future were emphasized. One is the emergency response to public health emergencies based on flood disasters, and the other is the steady advancement of the province's disease control informationization. Next, Director Li Mingyan emphasized a few points in the training class: First, find gaps in performance and always keep a clear head; second, grasp the two keys to realize the transformation of disease surveillance concepts and methods under the new situation; third, A guide is issued to create Hubei characteristics of disease surveillance; the fourth is to strengthen horizontal communication and comprehensively improve the ability and level of disease surveillance.

The content involves the current status of the information reporting system for public health emergencies in our province, the information reporting and management requirements of the "Public Health Emergency Management Information System", port epidemic prevention and control and emergency management, and emergency response to public health emergencies during the military games , Introduction to the monitoring of clustered epidemics of key infectious diseases, the province's rubella prevention and control and vaccine-related incident response, the province's food poisoning incident monitoring overview, etc.

While in-depth exchanges of work have broadened working ideas, they have continuously promoted the network monitoring and maintenance of public health emergencies and epidemic emergencies in our province. Finally, experts from various cities and prefectures conducted in-depth discussions on the construction needs of the monitoring system for public health emergencies and the changes in future work patterns, and offered suggestions for the next step.
