China's military PLA Delegates Standing in Ovation for Unanimous Presidential and Military Commission Leadership Elections of China

 

Context & Evidence: On the morning of March 17, 2018, during the 5th Plenary Session of the 1st Session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, delegates from the military and armed police delegation stood up and applauded as the official election results were announced. The vote confirmed the unanimous re-election of Xi Jinping as President of the PRC and Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC). Active-duty military delegates participated directly in the statutory voting process as part of the largest single delegation in the NPC.
